Sanctuary Farm is located at 8519 Pickards Meadow Rd, Chapel Hill, NC.  We are just 40 minutes from the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), 30 minutes from downtown Durham, 20 minutes from Hillsborough, and 10 minutes from Carrboro, NC. 

No, at Sanctuary Farm you can create your own personalized event. We don’t have any restrictions on vendors.

No, we do not offer day-of coordination for events. However, a dedicated Sanctuary Farm staff member will be available to assist with all venue-related questions and ensure your event vision comes to life.

Yes, all amplified music must be turned off by 11pm on weekends (Friday & Saturday) & 10pm on weekdays due to the County noise ordinance.  Have fun around the fires, but please keep the noise low after hours.

Yes! There is handicap parking that is 30' from the primary entrance, there is one accessible bathroom downstairs in the barn and a newly installed stair lift (rated for 300 pounds) so that both barn lofts are ADA accessible.

There is an option to drive up to the outdoor gazebo or to the Grove to limit the amount of outdoor walking.

Our guest capacity is 180.  At times we are able to accommodate additional guests.  Please inquire for additional information. 

Yes!  Our pondside gazebo, kitchen and two barn lofts are covered spaces and can be used in the event of rain.  

Our pondside gazebo as well as our two renovated barn lofts can each seat 100 guests.  There is standing room for up to 180 people in our barn lofts. 

We do not provide an event tent, but you are welcome to rent one and we are happy to coordinate your event rentals for a small service fee.
